Cozi Family Organizer

Do you struggle to know your schedule for the day?  Kids going in 6 different directions at any given time?  Your husband forget to pick up dinner or even worse, a kid, because he didn't know the schedule?

Then you need Cozi.  It is a free online organizer that helps you keep track of multiple members of your family and even a spot for the grocery list.  You can even add the dog as a family member so you don't forget vet or grooming appointments.  We only have one preschooler right now, but I already find it helpful so we don't miss an event that we heard about a month ago, but then forgot the day of.  Cozi is there to remind us.

And even better today, amazon is offering the premium Android app for free.  It is also available for the iPhone (but the premium version isn't free today).

So, go get it today.

Poor choices

So what do you do when you have the house to yourself?

I made a terrible mistake tonight. The boys were going to a baseball game tonight, so I would be home alone. Yippee!

But what do I do, I stay at work until 9 pm trying to catch up from a horrible week.

At least the boys had a great time. Hope I make some better choices this weekend, like just lounging at the pool.

Happy Father's Day

To all the wonderful Dads out there, I hope you had a terrific Father's Day.

It makes me realize how fortunate I am to have such an awesome husband because he is a supportive and caring partner in this adventure known as parenthood.

Found Money

So what do you do when you find money you didn't remember that you had?

I have been eyeing this little gem since I bought one for my dear MIL last summer.

So, off I went to Kohl's with my 30% off coupon in hand. And ... they didn't have it in stock. Thank goodness for the in-store kiosks with free shipping. So hopefully, I will be enjoying my found money splurge early next week.

What do you do with found money? Oh, and I did tell my husband before making the decision.

Winter Doldrums

I don't know about you but after all the Holiday Hoopla, we are struggling to keep up. Work is as busy as ever. Now that my son is well into his threes, I am finding that he needs the balance of independent play with interactive play. The trick is figuring out which one he needs before he does.

I have started training for a 10K with a mom's running group. I am hoping to stay away from the injuries, so I can actually finish it this time. I missed our first group run because my husband brought home a nasty cold bug, and he keeps trying to share it with me. Only have a sore throat now but the 20 degree weather kept me inside this morning. Gotta hit the treadmill this afternoon to make it up. On a positive note, my husband also signed up to run the 10K. He was in triathlete shape when we met, but has desperately fallen to the wayside over the last 10 years. I am glad to see him do something in the right direction to get healthier.

Hopefully, a smart exercise schedule and checking a few organization projects off the list will get us to snap back into a better mindset.

Now, off to find something to smile about.

Christmas is in how many days?

I don't know about you, but Christmas has completely snuck up on me. Maybe it's because it falls on a weekend, so I feel like I have lost time. Oh, well. Ready or not.

I have ordered Christmas cards (should be here any day). We have bought the large present for our little guy, but other than that I am at a lose. Hoping inspiration comes quickly for gifts for my husband, parents and the in-laws. Any advice for the people who have everything? No, I didn't think so.

I think I'm going to concentrate on the meaning of the season and trying to share that with a very excited three year old, and hope the rest works out like it should.
