I don't know about you, but Christmas has completely snuck up on me. Maybe it's because it falls on a weekend, so I feel like I have lost time. Oh, well. Ready or not.
I have ordered Christmas cards (should be here any day). We have bought the large present for our little guy, but other than that I am at a lose. Hoping inspiration comes quickly for gifts for my husband, parents and the in-laws. Any advice for the people who have everything? No, I didn't think so.
I think I'm going to concentrate on the meaning of the season and trying to share that with a very excited three year old, and hope the rest works out like it should.

I want to win an iPad because I know I won't get one for Mother's Day
I’m participating in a contest at Best Kids Apps, a blog about iPhone apps for kids, for a chance to win an iPad.
Check out this website for the details, www.bestkidsapps.com.
I love my husband and my son, but I hope I get something other than a necklace for this Mother's Day. I have a jewelry box full of them, and only one neck. Hope he is a little more creative this year, but I know it won't be an iPad. So, please let me win this one.

Your Shape - Getting Healthy & Fit in 2010
Update - I won. Thank you Twitter Moms for sponsoring the contest. Can't wait to try it out.
“What are your top 5 New Year's resolutions for getting healthy and fit in 2010?”
1. I have joined a women's running group in hopes of expanding my social circle with people who are active.
2. Run my first 10K. I have done 5ks before, but hopefully the women's group will give me the motivation to get this done.
3. I want to show my husband that we can find time to exercise ... even with a toddler, a house, and full-time jobs.
4. Going to be earlier is a goal for me so I can have the energy to exercise, be alert at work and still have time to play with my son.
5. Menu planning, so no more "What's for dinner tonight?" We all know what types of healthy meals come from those conversations.
So now what, I want to win a copy of Your Shape Game as a further motivator. So go to Twitter Moms to see how you can enter too.

Buying birthday presents 10 months early
I hope my toddler still loves Handy Manny in 10 months because I just scored a major deal at Target. I picked up the Handy Manny Toolbench for just under $23. It was listed at $89 before Christmas.
The aisles are emptying out, but there was still many items left at my local Target. If you need to stock-up for birthday gifts, this is the place to go.
Let me know what you find.

A few of my favorite things
As promised (under the premise of this blog), I am going to share with you a few things that make me happy and hopefully help me find some "ohmful" moments.
Being tall and normally thin (all due to really good genes), I have a heck of a time finding clothes that fit. I do quite a bit of shopping online with lots of returns. The last pair of jeans I bought was at least five years ago and they were showing their age, while still fitting. Thank goodness. But it was time for a new pair, so the hunt begins. Meanwhile, I HATE shopping. More because it is so hard for me to find clothes that fit.
I also have been struggling to find some long-sleeve t-shirts that have sleeves and a body that is long enough. Just a plain white t-shirt, I would never dare ask for color.
With all the Eddie Bauer emails filling my inbox, I decided to take a peak, and then I decided to take the plunge. They were offering great deals on their clothes, plus free shipping (don't get me started on their handling fee which I think is ridiculous). They were offering jeans for half-price and a discount on their long-sleeve tees. So I took a chance with these.
EB Natural Fit Jeans and I LOVE them. They have the tiniest bit of stretch, have a fit slightly below the waist (not MOM jeans but don't show anything when you squat down), and the talls are long enough for me.
The second great find was the long-sleeve tee. I chose the shaped crewneck and v-neck. The shaped fit was great and the sleeves are long enough. I was not as happy with the v-neck (a little low for my liking). I splurged with white, asparagus, black, violet, ruby, and ivory. I know I said I splurged, but when I find something that fits, I should buy many. Which I did.
So, thank you to Eddie Bauer for giving this mom a nice combo of outfits for the weekend.
